The FAC Drumkit is a professional-grade 16 voice drum synthesizer and stereo sample player. It offers a range of features to help you create unique and expressive drum sounds for your music.
Within each voice, you have two oscillators with 16 waveform options, along with filters, phase and ring modulation. Additionally, there is a sample player with control over sample position, filters, phase, and stereo. The instrument is highly expressive, allowing you to adjust the velocity amount for each amp and pitch modulation.
To add creativity and spontaneity to your sound design, the FAC Drumkit includes a randomization engine for both the drum synthesizer and sample player. It also offers advanced pitch and amp envelopes with multi control points, delay, envelope templates, modifiers, and copy/paste functionality.
To ensure tight and precise drum tracks, the mute/choke groups help reduce overlapping sounds. The drag and drop file support allows for easy loading of samples, and the mixer provides 16 voices with multi-output capability if supported by your host software.
If you prefer to trigger the voices using a pad controller via MIDI out, the FAC Drumkit supports MIDI velocity sensitivity. It also comes with built-in presets inspired by classic drum machines for instant inspiration.
The drums in the FAC Drumkit are organized by category in the library explorer, making it easy to find the right sound. If you're an iOS user, you can take advantage of the AuV3 support for an advanced responsive design that works in both portrait and landscape views.

One of the standout features of the FAC Drumkit is its unique amp and pitch envelopes. With precise control points, you can modify the curve of the envelope in a subtle or extreme way. These envelopes allow for special transitions and are particularly useful for creating burst sounds like claps. Additionally, the pitch transitions are more interesting and precise thanks to the control points. You can even manually alter the value of each control point to set the root note of a kick drum, for example.
A notable advantage of using the FAC Drumkit is the randomization engine, which simplifies the creation of new sounds. By selecting what you want to randomize, you can easily experiment and discover unique drum sounds. The instrument category you choose also influences the randomization process. For example, if you want to design a drum kick, you can set the instrument label to BD (bass drum) or explore a wider sound palette by adjusting the voice index.
The FAC Drumkit is not only powerful but also expressive. You have individual control over the velocity amount for each amp envelope, allowing for nuanced dynamics in your drum patterns. Additionally, you can modulate the pitch envelopes using external MIDI control change messages, adding even more depth and expressiveness to your sound design.
It's important to note that while the standalone app version of FAC Drumkit does not allow saving user presets, you can utilize the AuV3 version for full functionality and preset saving capabilities.
